The classicist architecture, notable for its finite character, and the architecture connected with Romantic ideal, affirming continual development, are examined from the position of contradiction of finite and infinite. There is a violation of compositional completeness in the late classicist architecture of the Eclecticism period. The concept of the infinite in the architecture of early Eclecticism found expression in the denial of stylistic limitation, the desire for a variety of forms, emphasizing the inseparable connection between the architectural object and the natural environment.
