The author analyzes the acmeism literary movement of the 20th century in the perspective of a phenomenological approach. The uniqueness of this phenomenon is noted, consisting in a harmonious combination of tradition and avant-garde, unity of form and content. Acmeism is compared with the previous modernist movement - symbolism. The dialectical continuity between both movements is stated, manifested in attention to imagery, aesthetic perfection, as well as the difference between them: the tness of images, the mysticism of symbolists, which led to dualism and asociality, on the one hand, and the desire for clarity, concreteness and integrity in the image of the world, active the position in relation to social challenges on the part of acmeists on the other. This study will be useful for researchers to understand the role of acmeism in Russian culture, to identify its theoretical and philosophical content. The author seeks to substantiate the assumption that the supra-temporal nature of the poetics of acmeism will contribute to the identification of Russia's place in the world, the search for the enduring spiritual foundations of society. The author substantiates the thesis that the aesthetic principles of acmeism anticipated the attitudes of phenomenology, including the ideas of the new ontology of M. Merleau-Ponty. The ontological approach makes it possible to solve the question of the referentiality of meanings and signs in relation to the aesthetic attitudes of acmeism and symbolism and to project it on the problem of simulation in the communicative space of the information society.
