Russian-Kazakh schools of the Orenburg region and their graduates in the conditions of post-reform transformation (end of the 19th century)

The article is based on the archival documents from the funds of the State Archive of the Orenburg region and deals with the process of development of Russian-Kazakh schools in the Orenburg province in the last quarter of the 19th century, after the publication in 1870 of the “Rules on measures for the education of allogeneous people inhabiting Russia”. The author examines the status and role of graduates of Russian-Kazakh schools in Kazakh society and in Russian society as a whole, and characterizes the most authoritative reformers.
