Russian-language version of the Wisconsin questionnaire for assessing the quality of life in patients with urolithiasis (Wisconsin Stone-QOL (WISQOL)): results of the pilot study

The aim of the study was validation of the Russian version of the Wisconsin quality of life questionnaire (WISQOL) in patients with urolithiasis. Material and methods: the language adaptation of the original WISQOL included standard stages: translation, reverse translation, pilot study. Of 108 patients who underwent treatment for urolithiasis, filled Russian version of the questionnaires WISQOL and SF-36. Respondents completed questionnaires before and 1 month after treatment. Analyzed psychometric properties of WISQOL. Results: internal consistency (coefficient Cronbach's alpha: 0.71 - 0.99) and repeatability of method test-retest analysis was satisfactory for all domains (social, emotional, vitality, and health effects). Convergent validity was determined by establishing a correlation between WISQOL and SF-36 scales. A reliable non-zero link is established.
