Russian-language fanfiction as an object of multidisciplinary study

The article discusses various approaches to the study of Russian-language fanfiction. Today, there is a gradual theoretical understanding of fan fiction as a phenomenon of modern culture, however, despite a significant number of research works, such a multifaceted phenomenon cannot be fully investigated from the standpoint of one science. Contemporary fanfiction has significant potential as a tool to stimulate reader activity and, therefore, as an element of cultural policy. The disclosure of the theoretical and practical potential of fanfiction requires its study from the standpoint of a multidisciplinary approach.
