The paper presents the archival text of S. L. Frank — a synopsis of his lecture titled “A Jew Who Received Christianity.” In the preface and comments to the publication a textological and meaningful analysis of the manuscript was conducted. The seminal idea pursued by Frank is that Christianity does not contradict the Old Testament religion, but is its highest expression and development, hence, the conversion of a Jew into Christianity is not an “apostasy” but “the completion of the father’s faith.” Against the background of other examples of the philosopher’s appeal to the “Jewish theme,” we show his concern about the spiritual and religious fate of the Jewish people and a special attention to the problem of the conversion of Jews into Christianity. The facts of Frank’s interest in the Jewish- Christian communities, revealed in archival documents, enabled to establish a presumptive date of this text — 1935.
