Site of a vocational educational organization as a information tool in professional navigation of applicants and students

The article discusses the possibility of using the website of a professional educational organization (PEO) as a tool that allows to convey information about professions and specialties, their features to applicants and students. The analysis of sites was carried out in three directions: information aimed at professional self-determination of students of educational organizations; information aimed at professional self-determination of students of vocational educational organizations (VEO); information aimed at professional self-determination of applicants for programs of professional training and additional professional education. The results of the analysis of vocational educational organizations’ sites in the Chelyabinsk region made it possible to determine the list of site elements, the presence of which helps to support professional self-determination, professional navigation of applicants and VEO students. Using the Yuryuzan Technological College (YUTC) as an example, the characteristics of the site and the „Navigator by professions, specialties of the YUTC“ are presented. The author shows the activity of site visitors and traffic sources. It is confirmed the need to create a single information space: site - social pages - third-party sites.
