The article deals with the process of forming of sacred space by the group of the Khanty, migrated into a new territory. The focus of the article is on the Yugan Khanty community of Surgut region of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, that migrated between the 1940s and 1970s at the valley of the nearby Demyanka-river where local Khanty population has disappeared. Recentness of the history of the relocation allows us to consider the sacralization of the landscape as not just as reconstructed events of the past but as actively developing process of the present time. There are characterization of the local honored objects and the history of their appearance in this paper. The sacred locuses are organized in separate categories, based on their origin and characteristics of religious practices. There are represented the following distinct categories: objects related to the heritage of the disappeared local population, sacred places of settlements, and sanctuaries, resulting from the "standard" or "occasional" sacralization. The author concludes that the sacralization of the territory has become one of the important reasons for the settlers to consider the land as their home.
