The article deals with the relevance of the study of the phenomenon of self-leadership as a resource of youth personality development. On the basis of the system approach, the main structural and functional elements of the model of this phenomenon related to the cognitive, emotional-volitional, value-semantic, behavioral spheres of the psyche are distinguished. Self-leadership is considered as a resource of youth personality, allowing to overcome internal psychological barriers and destructive influence of virtual reality.
