Self-education as an aspect in the musician's educational activity

The article is devoted to one of the most topical problems of our time - the phenomenon of self-education. Self-education is analyzed on the example of musical and educational activities. A system-synergetic approach applied to study this phenomenon made it possible to consider the personality of the music educator as a multidimensional system with its own characteristics and development patterns. The synergetic principle made it possible to determine the possibility of self-generation (the self-image continuous formation under the impact of internal and external influence) as the most important component of such a system. The systematization of the practical experience of some Russian music educators allowed us to specify the main factors that determine the development (self-education) of the "music educator" system. The comprehensive analysis of the issue made it possible to conclude that the self-educational aspect in the activity of the music educator is expressed in the individual-image continuous formation as an open system. The results of the study may be of value in organizing the content of musicians professional training.
