Self-education as a means of improving professional competence of intended educators in the process of professional training

In the article the authors formulate a point of view which is based on the belief that self-education should continuously be formed at all stages of training at higher education institution. Self-education is considered as one of the indicators of the level of professional culture and competence. There are represented the channels, means, sources of obtaining information by students and the interrelation between level of awareness and professionalism. Special attention is paid to the competencies which are required for competitive educator-specialist. Article authors conclude that the role of self-education in updating of professional competence is multifaceted. It is closely associated with content of professional activity, outlook, morality, intelligence and etc. The conjunction of external and internal factors is to be conductive to the realization of self-education - the key of updating of professional competence of intended specialist and its professional importance.
