The article dwells on the dangers which seismical threats pose on the world-, Russia- and individual-Russian-region-wide scale ifcarried out. The author studies the latest projects by the Institute ofGeophysics,the Russian Academy of Sciences, aimed at mitigating the current risks and forecasts the development ofRussia with the innovations implemented in the real economy and 'no change' scenario in effect.
