Breeding of synthetic sunflower varieties: features, directions and perspectives (review)

Having analyzed the domestic and foreign scientific literary sources we presented data about features of synthetic sunflower varieties breeding. We considered the different modifications of a recurrent breeding method with a use of self-pollination of individual plants, system of selection and estimation of breeding germplasm during development of the synthetic sunflower varieties. We discuss a question about reasonability to develop and improve of a method of heterosis effect usage in sunflower as synthetic varieties in current conditions of commercial production.
