Rural fairs and bazaars in the development of folk crafts in Simbirsk province (early XIX century)

The article is devoted to the analysis of the place and role of rural fairs and bazaars in trade of Oriental goods on the territory of Simbirsk province in the first half of the XIX century. Oriental goods appeared in rural areas due to trade and livestock tracts. Fairs and bazaars contributed to the development of folk crafts among the inhabitants of Simbirsk province.
