Agriculture of the Republic of Buryatia compared with the regions of the Far Eastern federal district

Agriculture as a branch of the economy plays a significant role in the life of society, determining not only the specifics of the economy, but also the way of life of a significant part of the population. Its main goal is to meet the needs of the population in nutrition, and industry in raw materials. The article analyzes the agriculture of the Far Eastern Federal district after the entry of the Republic of Buryatia and the Trans-Baikal territory into it in November 2018. The main indicators of crop production and animal husbandry in natural and value terms, the structure of agriculture by categories of agricultural producers are considered. The regions of the Far Eastern Federal district are making unequal contributions to the rural economy of the County and have significant differences in the level and pace of economic development under the influence of market mechanisms with measures of agricultural policy, regional, sectoral features of production. The article focuses on the place and role of agriculture of the Republic of Buryatia in the far Eastern Federal district.
