This article is devoted to studying semantic history of Russian prefixes «на -» and «по -» by cadets of non-language institutes. The main aim of studying semantic analysis at the lessons is informing of cadets and students of non-language institutes of the origins of the suffixes and perfection their speech as means of communication, speech culture development, increasing of the vocabulary and its correct use.
