The article analyzes the semantics of sentences in German containing the construction werden + Infinitiv I (II). Since it can convey both temporal and modal meanings, it is important to take into account the aspectual semantics of a full verb when interpreting it. The purpose of this publication is to examine the dependence of the choice of the future tense expression form on the aspectual characteristics of a full-valued verb in German and to determine the type of modal semantics conveyed by this construction. It is shown that temporal semantics is typical of the construction werden + Infinitiv I if a full-valued verb is interpreted as a stative one, denoting a continuing action, the meaning of the imperfect aspect is expressed. Modal semantics in sentences with werden + Infinitiv I occurs when a full-valued verb marks a single action tending to its limit. The werden + Infinitiv II construction actually always adds a modal value. Along with epistemic semantics, we can also talk about the transfer of inferential values. Inferiority in the work is understood as an assumption made on the basis of sensory perception on the life experience of the speaker.
