Over the past century, the economic status of women in China has greatly improved, accompanied by a rise in their social status. In this regard, the economic independence of female residents of the Celestial Empire gradually took shape. Productivity growth, demonstrates that they no longer need the support of the male half of society. The awareness of independence and their own professional value gradually awakened in them the understanding that family and social needs cannot be met only through the gender division of labor. Women stopped being just “housewives” and started going to work to realize themselves in life. Gradually, they occupy an increasing share of the labor market, and their role in the Chinese economy is becoming more and more pronounced. However, this trend is accompanied by another - an increase in the number of divorces, which is caused by a change in social roles in the family, the unwillingness of most Chinese citizens to accept them, as well as the replacement of marriage values with the axiology of self-realization.
