Based on analysis of homeland and foreign sources, there were collected data on influence of agrotechnician and ecological factors on sowing and yield qualities of seeds of the sunflower hybrids and varieties. Differences in reactions of the sunflower samples on soil and climatic conditions of cultivation for oil content, 1000 seeds weight, protein content, linoleic and oleic acids contents are stated. There are presented the results of works on biological enrichment of sunflower seeds by their cultivation on fields fertilized with high doses of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers. The issues of ecological specialization of production of the high quality seeds and selection of the most perspective zones for sunflower cultivation are considered. The differences in the scientists’ meanings concerning possibilities to increase the yield qualities of seeds in such situation are noted. The main indicators of sowing qualities identifying suitability of seeds for cultivation in intensive crop management are selected. The primary economic criteria promoting increase in competitive ability of domestic producers of sunflower seeds are determined in conditions of free market economy.
