The article comprehends the trends in personality formation in connection with the features of musical education within the framework of family traditions as a process of spiritual development and formation of the individual. In the systematic process of transmitting the preceding cultural experience to the younger generation, adapting to the surrounding world, defining personal and ethnocultural identity, and often professional self-determination, the initial influence is exerted by the family and established family traditions. Using autobiographical information as an example, the author shares a model of family upbringing. The article provides examples of how an individual model of upbringing is implemented through the understanding of established socio-historical experience and specific methods of transmitting the spiritual experience of previous generations, considering the trends in the formation of musical culture in connection with the features of musical education within family traditions. The significance of the family aspect is analyzed, highlighting it as a substantial factor in upbringing, providing opportunities for the comprehensive development of the individual, including the continuity of pedagogical and musical traditions.
