Sergey Sergeevich Averintsev as a researcher byzantine hymnography

This article enlightens the meaning of works of S. S. Averintsev in the field of the Byzantine literature and the Byzantine hymnography. The author shows ontologism of thought of S. S. Averintsev, his close link with the tradition of the Bible, correlation of Esthetic with Theology and Ontology, his conception of mystical historism, his original decisions of complicated problems, connected with senses of the Byzantine Theological Poetry and also his poetical skills of translation.
