This article analyzes the work of the Crimean Tatar writer, poet, public figure of the XX century in the USSR and in the post-Soviet periods - Shamil Alyadin, gives a critical review of the assessment of creativity, public activity of the artist of the word through the prism of views of subsequent decades. The author highlights the features of the writer's creative heritage in the context of the problematic historical tasks of the time, the region, and his people.
