The school of preventive suicidology and deviantology in Tyumen (West Siberia)

The experience of organizing a regional system of suicide prevention in the Tyumen region (West Siberia) is described. It shows the importance of the educational and scientific project "The School of Preventive Suicidology and Deviantology". The tasks of the School is to organize and conduct scientific and practical seminars on suicidal activity and related topics-deviant behavior. The School staff also carried out research and analysis (assessment of the level and nature of the participants'' knowledge of the Schools in the area of suicide-studying, their cultural and ethnic representation, etc., a literature review, surveys in the General population, etc.), development of proposals for improving the effectiveness of preventive measures, etc. Provides the results of the educational and research activities of the School. In conclusion, the authors conclude that the experience of the educational project in Tyumen can be used in other regions.
