The behavior of the Volterra model for nonlinear dynamic circuits is explored. It is shown that the critical signal levels for the convergence of the Volterra series - these are the points of explicit or implicit transition of nonlinear model from one state to another. This transition is accompanied by strong increasing recursive nonlinear interactions due to feedback loops and appearing the branch points for the solutions of nonlinear equations in the complex domain. That ultimately leads to the destruction of the concept based on separation of the nonlinearities in accordance to their levels. The Volterra series with their weak recursive stability lose their ability to describe the intensive re-interaction of spectral components. Because of this, the Volterra series begin to diverge.
