When comparing the signs of the Hiragana alphabet and the signs of the Katakana alphabet written in different styles and fonts, schoolchildren chose kyokashotai as the most preferred font for calligraphic writing (68.6%). The calligraphy style chosen for teaching ideographic writing of the Japanese language in two groups of respondents is the authorized kaishotai style (80%).
