This article considers the phenomenon and the concept of Siberia in Stanislav Kunyaev's poetry on the bases of the analysis of the poetic works included in the Siberian cycle. Siberia associates with exceptionality, the extremity of the situation and the originality of the characters in the spiritual and cultural consciousness of the Russian people. The perception of this region in the post-war Soviet lyrics is multivarious, but the national aspect of the Siberian themes presents very scantily. S. Kunyaev was attracted by Siberia, by it's mighty fact of motion and path, space and the elements. Poet's lyrical hero feels a grateful sense for the given wealth, the expanding world, for his actions and impressions. Siberia is a great field for activity, for contemplation, for communion to the Russian fate. This is the place for person's education, which can form in him a deep understanding of nature. The poet constantly emphasizes that time in Siberia lead out the person's state of ordinariness and routine, let alone the conflicts and work. The nature here fills the hero's soul with a sense of moral health, physical value, persistence and luck. S. Kunyaev admits that the root element of the Russian spirit is the absence of a claim to separateness and individuality for nature characteristic. Meeting with the grand Siberian spaces Kunyaev's lyrical hero feels the Russian originality more penetrating and naked. So, the love to Siberia is a fundamental motive in Kunyaev's lyrics.
