«Power» in the structure of the thematic chain in J. Milton's "Paradise lost" (the samples of the lexical unit power as translated into Russian in 1777 with a content-analytical subscription)

Thematic chain, being a basic nominative text category, is a key to the plot exposition. Content-analysis of the thematic chain, a sociolinguistic method, makes it possible to find out the nominations of any character at any text interval given. The material of the five contexts representing the Latinism chosen, providing a linear moving along the narration, observes the contextual shades of the unit «power» in all the cases. The prospective of the article is the content-analysis of Book One on the whole concerning the category of the thematic chain.
