Symbolism of the earth-motherland in the Russian linguistic culture

There is a highly fixed symbol of the Earth-Motherland in the Russian linguistic culture that is actualized by different language ways and means. There are considered the somatic metaphors and the metaphors of the blood relation as the most widespread of them. The Earth-Motherland is described by the means of the semantic opposition “ours - others” complemented by the third component: the Motherland is the land (territory) of friends, close family members and dearest people.
