The article is devoted to the study of the concept TRAVELLER in the British and American variants of the English language based on the NBC and COCA corpora. Language is an essential communication tool that not only allows people to express their thoughts and feelings, but also reflects their vision and understanding of the world. One of the key concepts in linguistics is a concept, which is a mental image associated with a certain word or expression. English is a prime example of such a phenomenon as the study of the features of concepts in different variants of the same language, since it has many national and regional variants, each of which has its own unique national features. The article examines the syntagmatic connections of the lexeme traveller using corpus analysis, contextual and lexicographic analysis. A comparative analysis of two syntagmatic models of the concept under study in the British and American variants of the English language is carried out. The identified phrases are distributed according to semantic modules, which makes it possible to present an ordered structure of the syntagmatic model of the concept under study. Syntagmatic modeling of a concept can be a useful tool for creating a more accurate and effective description of a concept in a text. The relevance of the problem is confirmed by the lack of work on the analysis of the proposed concept in terms of its syntagmatic connections and comparative analysis in two variants of the English language.
