Syntagma reading in teaching professionally oriented foreign language reading

The article deals with issues concerning the syntagma reading while teaching professionally oriented foreign language reading under conditions of non-philological higher school. The article proves the importance of this reading type aimed at formation of chunk reading skills as well as at the comprehension of professionally oriented texts. It considers syntagma properties along with the process and difficulties involved into syntagma identification process by students.
