System of values of the main character of Z. Prilepin’s book "Sin"

Zakhar Prilepin is "a writer with the biography". In the past the loader, the security guard, the general worker, the commander of office OMON Special Police Force, the ex-member of forbidden NBP, the combatant in Chechnya, now he is one of the most significant figures of modern national literary process. The author reveals psychology of behavior of the character under different, sometimes polar opposite circumstances, without breaking at the same time the integrity and the sequence in the image of the main, dominating lines of its character. We observe typical human delusions concerning themselves and relatives, unexpected "flip-floppers" of veiws, a breakthrough to unknown themselves, new discoveries, innately principles, etc. In this text broken into fragments, Prilepin’s character appears as full-fledged "literary personality", both clearly outlined and contradictory. We observe Zakhar's "naturalness", but clearly realize that he is neither a savage nor a godless person. We can see his intuitive inclination to indispensable following foundations of Christian ethics, moral bases of orthodox belief. Dmitry Volodikhin remarks: "Subconsciously he understands what is right and wrong in this world. The knowledge of the muddy party of a sin is granted to the main character either by nature or he got it in his childhood. The feeling of God disciplines spirit of the person and brings rest into it".
