The system of independent assessment of knowledge in networking professional development of technicians

The article reviews topical issues of organization of networking professional development of specialists with the use of information - educational environment and distance educational technologies. There is analyzed a technology of knowledge assessment of specialists through test control and it is an effective pedagogical technology of the control that performs evaluative, supportive, developmental, educational, diagnostic and pedagogic functions. Besides, the technology has the following number of advantages: the small time expenditures to obtain objective results of the control; the possibility of rapid preparation of test tasks; the use of various kinds of presentation in the preparation of test tasks; equal times for trainees by assessment of knowledge, etc.
