Formation of the system of state registration of rights to real estate in the Moscow State in the 16th-17th centuries represented the first experience of the written strengthening of property rights, carried out on the scale of a single Russian state. The granting of estates to nobles, land sales, exchanges and inheritance transactions were subject to compulsory registration with the Local Order. It is noted that the procedure of registration of real estate rights took place in several stages, involving the interaction of the Local Order (office) with other structures, and was bureaucratically complicated, but served the purpose of regulating real estate turnover in the state. At the same time, the emergence of a system of state registration of rights to real estate was dictated by the tasks facing the Russian state in connection with the need to overcome the consequences of political fragmentation and gain national independence. This article is devoted to the study of the historical prerequisites that led to the formation in Russia of the system of state registration of rights to real estate.
