The study represents theoretically-driven analysis of the concept of human resource management systems. Based on strategic human resource management literature the article provides the definition of human resource management systems. By doing so it examines key features of systematicity: elements, relationship among them and their orientation towards some overarching goals. Additionally, the study contains key theoretical debates on presented subject. This article can be useful for researchers that use this concept in their studies, as well as for practitioners aimed at examining more sophisticated aspects of human resource management.
