The given work presents the findings of the complex study concerning the structure of the centuries-old Mongolian healing tradition based on the analysis of the written source rGyud bzhi and its commentaries and on the study of the first-hand experience of treatment and prevention of diseases in Mongolia.The research was aimed at theoretical underpinning of the system-structural basis of the dis-ease treatment and prevention in the given tradition.The study of the canonic treatise with the use of the system approach and the analysis of the practice of medicine with the use of system models have shown that the given treatise has a system-structural composition and the healing tradition is based on the system approach with due account of level regulation of bodily functions. The authors have made the conclusion that the Mongolian traditional medicine has a system-structural basis.
