The situation of crisis and the specificity of the Russian mentality

The present article describes a number of characteristics of Russians in conditions of instability and economic crisis, which are revealing themselves in the increase of the egocentric orientation of the individual and can be described by the following egocentric phenomena: invulnerability, uniqueness, imaginary audience, omnipotence. Emotional experience features of these phenomena depend on the status and sense of identity and personal stories of people.
