The author reviews the articles of the scientific conference held in 2014 in RANEPA, which was devoted to urban texts and ritualized practices, addressed as «post-folklore». The objects of folklorists research were: the cultural phenomenon of rumors, the peculiarities of text formation in the oral narrative of the modern urban stories, city songs, the functioning of «holy letters» in the USSR, the «folklore map of Moscow», negative images of Tyumen in modern urban narratives, sacred places in the city and Rural areas, the social practice of local lore study, the spiritual space of the Kola North, Soviet children playing in the «dream country», risky practices in the modern subcultures. The reviewer notes the advantages and disadvantages of the studies, their scientific novelty and relevance. The author of the review concludes that the appeal of the Russian science to the study of modern speech and ritualized practices, which took place in the late 80s - early 90s of the 20th century, was an institutional turn that contributed to the successful inclusion of Russian folklore studies in the global scientific context.
