Investigative and other procedural actions performed remotely in pre-trial proceedings in Russia: prospects and problems of implementation

In the article the author analyzes some aspects of performing certain investigative actions at the pre-trial stages of criminal proceedings via digital videoconferencing systems, analyzes the problems of implementing legal norms regulating conducting interrogation, confrontation and identification through the use of remote information and telecommunication technologies and considers the possibility of using videoconferencing systems at the stage of initiating a criminal case.
