Event tourism: methodological aspect

Event tourism is one of the most promising directions of development of the modern Russian tourist market. The article considers theoretical and methodological issues of event tourism. The paper contains the definition of event tourism, the impact of event tourism on the socio-economic development of the region. It studies characteristics of event tourism. It presents a scheme of event tourism organization, including organizers, resources and consumers. On the basis of practical work in the field of event tourism the author lists features of the event tourism organization.
