The methodological aspects of the formation of social competence of senior schoolchildren are revealed based on the materials of the Republic of Belarus. A triad of methods of anthropological, hermeneutic and institutional analysis of the topic area is undertaken. The mechanism of constructive interaction of subjects of patriotic socialization of senior pupils is revealed. The factorial role of self-education in development of social competence of students is formulated.
