Social work is traditionally considered as a female prerogative. At the same time, research on specifics of the work of female sex in this area is not enough, since usually the attention of scientists is focused on a woman as an object, but not the subject of social work. It is extremely rare for researchers to address the problem of combining professional and family functions by a woman working in social service organizations. At the same time, her work responsibilities are quite similar to family ones: caring for children, the elderly and sick people, the disabled, educational activities, socialization, social adaptation, organization of developing leisure activities for these persons at home and outside the home, household assistance in household management, etc. Our own sociological survey conducted in 2020 in the Moscow system of social protection of the population, the results of which are presented in this article, was devoted to how subjectively those who professionally carry out social work perceive the combination of family functions and employment.
