The Olympic Games reflect the key values of the country hosting a global sporting event and how it contributes to the desired social reproduction within a given state. It is established that spatial narrative, along with national strategy, serves as the primary form of social reproduction in countries hosting global competitions. It is noted that the Olympic motto, disseminated as a universal social value, provides the host country with a unique opportunity to restructure the political and social space and allows it to showcase its achievements on the international stage, rethink internal social relations, and mechanisms of interaction between different population groups. Using the examples of China and Italy, it is shown how sporting events like the Olympic Games become catalysts for a contemporary reinterpretation of the organic chain “state – society – individual”. The study emphasizes the significance of the Olympic Games not only as a sporting event but also as a powerful tool for the social and cultural development of host countries.
