The article describes the anthropological foundations of social and cultural animation as a pedagogical phenomenon and the means of art and culture. Pedagogy knows its object - a growing, evolving man - in indissoluble confluence of natural, social and individual in it. In its essence, formation, properties, activities. Social and cultural animation - this pedagogy of understanding and mediation designed to affirm the relationship of equality, overcoming hierarchical subordination, to establish relations based on greater freedom and independence, to provide individual choice in the work, creativity and communication. Advanced relation to animation activity as an activity "breathe life", "animating public relations", contains a great social potential as regulates the most important and basic of man's relationship with the world and with itself.
