The relevance of the problem of social and legal training of students to work with conflicts in their professional activities is due to the high conflict potential of the educational environment, the low level of social and legal competence of students, and the high need of the education system for conflictologically competent specialists. The purpose of the article is to present the process of social and legal training of students to work with conflicts in their professional activities. To achieve the goal, the method of modeling and analysis of scientific sources was used. The following results are obtained. Firstly, the structure of the process of this training is presented from the point of view of the process approach, which resulted in the definition of its stages (enlightenment-motivational, teaching-imitation, reinforcing-demonstration) and substantiation of their logical sequence. Secondly, the content of the process of socio-legal training of students to work with conflicts in professional activities is determined from the standpoint of an axiological approach, that orients the future teacher towards peacemaking professional activities based on knowledge of social and legal norms. According to this approach, each stage of the process is described as a student’s successive ascent from knowledge of the rules of law and social interaction to their application in pedagogical practice.
