Socio-psychological factors of youth proneness to violent extremism

The results of a study of socio-psychological factors influencing the propensity of young people to violent extremism are presented. The influence of family and socio-demographic factors on the formation of a propensity for violent extremism is analyzed. It is concluded that men, rural residents, married young people and those who grew up without a father are more likely to be involved in extremist activities. Correlation analysis shows a negative relationship between the permissibility of aggression and tolerance. This emphasizes the importance of developing tolerance in order to prevent extremist attitudes.
