Social and psychological factors of development of anorexia nervosa

The article is dedicated to the influence of social and psychological factors on the development of anorexia nervosa. It was found that “suspicious”, “dependent” and “altruistic” types of interpersonal relations prevail in adolescents with anorexia nervosa. In the structure of parent-child relationship following features were revealed: lack of empathy, high emotional distance between parent and child, lack of cooperation, low level of cooperative decision-making, a high level of authoritarianism of the mother, children's dissatisfaction with the level of performance of their material and spiritual needs by parents, the distortion of the image of a child, low quality of relations between parents and adolescents.
