Socio-Psychological Problems of Development of Subjects of Digital Education

Introduction. The problem of digital education should be considered with regard to its socio-psychological processes and effects, influence on formation and development of students and teachers as subjects. The purpose of the research is to analyze social and psychological problems of development of subjects of digital education. The method employed includes the analysis of problems of development of digital education and its subjects based on the example of using the systems of artificial intelligence (smart technologies) in education. Materials, Results and Discussion. Smart technologies set serious requirements to the culture, while artificial intelligence, not being the subject of upbringing, transmits the objectives, values and behavior patterns which are suggested to it by customers and developers. These objectives may serve both as to the development of subjectiveness and desubjectivation of participants and stakeholders of education. Therefore, smart technologies in education set serious requirements to the universal and digital culture and competence of teachers and students. Without a culture of using artificial intelligence technologies, the latter deform a person’s relationship with himself and the world, leading to desubjectivation. Conclusions. The central points of productive and effective education, actively using digital technologies, allowing the development of the subjectiveness of its participants, are: a) the formation and development of a digital culture; b) the focus of education on the formation and development of a person as a subject. Effective smart education should be focused on the formation and development of subjectiveness, digital culture of developers, organizers and users of smart technologies, understanding the place of smart technologies in education at different levels and types, as well as increasing transparency and other characteristics of processes and results of their use.
