The author analyzes the impact of radical changes in many areas of public relations that occurred during the fight against the spread of a new coronavirus infection on social well-being and the level of conflict in Russian society, and in particular on Russian youth. It is noted that the reformatting of the daily practices of the high-alert regime creates a certain conflict potential and limits the social activity of the population. Based on the materials of a sociological survey conducted among students of Kuban State Technological University, the main factors causing discontent among young people are shown. The motivation of students to comply with the requirements of the high alert regime is studied. The main behavioral reactions of Kuban youth to emerging conflict situations are studied. It is concluded that a sufficiently high level of students' confidence in the actions of the regional leadership to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection serves as a deterrent when choosing a strategy of behavior in a conflict situation.
