The paper analyzes the social aspects of the staffing of the enterprises of the industrial complex in the Russian Federation with some data from the Far Eastern Federal District. Based on statistical data and the results of secondary studies of labor problems, social factors that determine the shortage of labor resources in Russian industrial enterprises are estimated. It is concluded that the employment of young specialists, violation of working conditions and rest of workers, cases of gender discrimination and gerontological ageism, an imbalance in the structure of supply and demand in the Russian labor market negatively affect the staffing of industrial enterprises.
