Social aspects of suicidal behavior

The purpose of the presented work was to assess the structure of emotional disorders fraught with suicide (on the example of the Republic of Karelia), their interconnection with socio-economic and climatic factors in order to develop algorithms for diagnosing and preventing this negative phenomenon. The study is based on clinical records of the patients of the Republican psychoneurologic dispensary in the city of Petrozavodsk, who have made one or more suicide attempts within the past 5 years. With application of mathematical methods there were identified common features of all suicidents, as well as the factors bringing about suicidal behaviour.
